A Firewall Years Book
Locked Down
A Cybersecurity Engineer's Guide to Protecting Your Money and Identity in Retirement
Scams targeting retirees keep changing — this book breaks down how the current ones actually work, in plain language, from someone who spent a career on the defense side before becoming a target himself.
About the author
Gil Martino spent his career as a software engineer and cybersecurity professional, including roughly a decade focused on defense-side security work. He's also been a volunteer firefighter for over twenty years — two careers built around the same instinct: identify the vulnerability, stop the bleeding, then fix the problem.
Firewall Years applies that same approach to a different kind of threat: the scams and fraud aimed at retirees. Locked Down is the first book in that effort, and this site tracks what's changed in it as new scam tactics emerge.
